\nKathmandu, July 13, 2025 \u2013 The Global Federation for Nepali Literature (GFNL) has elected a new central executive committee.<\/p>\n

The new committee was announced during a special event held to mark the 212th birth anniversary of Aadikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya. The names of the newly elected members were read by the coordinator of the election committee, Professor Bhim Khatiwada. Other members of the election committee were Dr. Madhu Madhurya and Biswasdip Tigela. Dr. Madhurya administered the oath of office to the elected officials.<\/p>\n

Dr. Lekhnath Kafle (Taiwan) was elected as the new President of the Federation. Other officials elected are as follows:Senior Vice President: Denzom Sampang (USA), Vice Presidents: Govinda Gautam (Russia), Vijay Hitan (UK), Sunita Rai Kandangwa (Kathmandu), Dr. Manmurti Bhurtel (Russia), General Secretary: Devika Mangrati Rai (Kurseong, India), Organizational Secretary: Kalpana Paudel Jigyasu (Nepalgunj), Treasurer: Bhim Birahi Rai (Dharan), The newly elected members also include Rishiram Sapkota (Nepalgunj), Kapil Adhikari (Taiwan), KB Paudel (Japan), Kavita Rai (Bhojpur), Krishna Prasad Gautam (Itahari), Devibahadur Ingam (Japan), Navaraj Nyaupane (Netherlands), Maniraj Singh (Kathmandu), Mohanraj Khanal (Burma), Reetadevi Pradhan (USA), and Lekh Prasad Pyakurel (Lumbini).<\/p>\n

Similarly, the following individuals have been elected as advisors: Dr. Madhu Madhurya (USA), Biswas Dip Tigela (UK), Surendra Limbu Pardeshi (India), Prof. Dr. Bhim Khatiwada (Dharan), Prof. Dr. Diwakar Pradhan (India), Dr. Ghanshyam Parishrami (Nawalpur), Navaraj Pokhrel (Romania), Sharad Pradhan (Kathmandu), and Hikmat Thapa (Nigeria).<\/p>\n

The event began with the release of the latest issue of \u201cSahitya Sansar,\u201d the Federation\u2019s regular publication. During the program, Kapil Adhikari was named this year\u2019s Outstanding Literary Contributor. Based in Taiwan, Adhikari has contributed significantly to Nepali literature for many years.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2010, the Global Federation for Nepali Literature now has over three dozen branches worldwide, working to promote Nepali literature around the globe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
