Methodologically, this article adopts a qualitative, practice-based, and interpretive approach to examine the theatrical perspectives and practices of senior Nepali theatre practitioner Birendra Hamal. The analysis is informed primarily by personal communication, long-term learning, direct observation, and sustained experiential engagement with Hamal’s theatrical practice. The author has studied theatre under Hamal since 2000 A.D. As a theatre teacher, mentor, and practitioner, Hamal has played a significant role in the author’s understanding of theatrical practice, performance, aesthetics, pedagogy, and theatrical thought. Consequently, the present study is informed not only by formal communication but also by knowledge acquired through sustained observation, learning, rehearsal, performance, discussion, and practical engagement within a teacher–student relationship. This article offers a focused interpretive study of one senior practitioner’s theatrical philosophy and practice. Its purpose is to document and critically interpret Hamal’s perspectives as an experiential contribution to discussions of Nepali theatre, indigenous aesthetics, cultural responsibility, and originality.

1.1. COMMITMENT TO THEATRE AND CULTURAL RESPONSIBILITY
The perspectives of distinguish theatre practitioner Birendra Hamal perform a sustained commitment to Nepali theatre and its wider cultural significance. For Hamal, theatre is not merely an artistic form or mode of entertainment; rather, it constitutes a cultural responsibility closely associated with individual life, society, identity, and collective consciousness. His theatrical journey, which has continued since 1983, has provided him with extensive practical experience of the development and transformation of Nepali theatre. 2, CONCLUSION
